FROM QUITO: THE NEW ECUADOREAN TAX REFORM.
In today's program, Ecuador's National Assembly has approved a new tax reform. This tax reform is part of the agreement with the International Monetary Fund in order to raise close to 620 million dollars by 2020. It was put together by the government of Lenin Moreno after the first economic reform was widely rejected and sparked massive protests throughout the country that left at least 10 people dead and hundreds injured. To talk more about what this means we have Pedro Paez, PhD. in economics and former minister of economy.
